History
The District and Sessions Court in Ziro was established in July 2019, with territorial jurisdiction over five districts: Lower Subansiri, Kurung Kumey, Kra-Daadi, Kamle, and Keyi-Panyor. Currently, four courts are operational:
- The District and Sessions Court, Ziro (Lower Subansiri).
- The Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Civil Judge (Senior Division), Ziro (Lower subansiri), established in 2013.
- The Judicial Magistrate First Class-cum-Civil Judge (Junior Division), Koloriang (Kurung Kumey), established in 2019.
- The Judicial Magistrate First Class-cum-Civil Judge (Junior Division), Palin (Kra-Daadi), established in 2019.
Although the Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Civil Judge (Senior Division), Koloriang was sanctioned on 24th July 2019, it remains non-functional due to the lack of necessary infrastructure. Moreover, no judicial infrastructure has been developed in the Kamle and Keyi-Panyor districts to date.
